The Church of All Saints at West Barkwith was extensively re-built by Withers in 1867-8. Most of the fabric is of Victorian date, though the west tower is Perpendicular in style, and there is an original Decorated style window towards the eastern end of the south aisle. {1}{2} The medieval church at West Barkwith lies adjacent to a manorial complex, and is surrounded by earthwork remains of the medieval settlement, including ditches and former possible moats. The church is depicted on the 2nd edition 25" Ordnance Survey County Series map, at the junction of several roads, and surrounded by its graveyard. The church is thought to have been declared redundant in the early 1980s, and was demolished shortly afterwards, with Pevsner declaring it had gone by 1989. The churchyard remains extant, however, and the outline of the former church looks to have been preserved on the site. {3}{4}{5}{6}
