Full Description

34972 During an additional watching brief on the site at Long Street in 1996 four sherds of early Saxon Charnwood ware dating from the fifth to the early eighth century were recovered. The rest of the evidence for Anglo-Saxon activity dated to the ninth century onwards (see 34972). {1}{2}{3}
