PRN 34947 FIELDWALKING AT MILL DROVE YIELDED 106 SHERDS OF MEDIEVAL AND POST MEDIEVAL POTTERY. THIS IS PROBABLY THE RESULT OF MANURING PRACTICES. {4} DURING EXCAVATIONS NORTH OF MILL DROVE IT WAS NOTED THAT THERE WERE MEDIEVAL AND/ OR POST MEDIEVAL PLOUGH FURROWS PRESENT IN BOTH EXCAVATION AREAS, ORIENTATED E-W, SLIGHT TRACES OF WHICH HAVE BEEN OBSERVED IN OBLIQUE SUNLIGHT ON THE GROUND SURFACE. THESE FURROWS CONTAINED POST MEDIEVAL POTTERY AND CLAY PIPE FRAGMENTS. {1}{2}{3}
