Full Description
TWO POLISHED STONE AXES FOUND IN ?1964 WERE NOTED BUT NOT RETAINED BY STAMFORD MUSEUM WHO RECORD NO FINDERS. IN 1965 SEAMAN REPORTED THAT THE FARMER KNEW NOTHING OF THESE FINDS, BUT REPORTED THE FINDING OF AN AXE BY HIS BROTHER (SEE PRN 33561) WHICH WAS TAKEN TO STAMFORD MUSEUM BY AN 'AGRICULTURAL SALESMAN' WHO ALSO HAD SOME OTHERS. SEAMAN BELIEVED THAT THERE HAD BEEN A DUPLICATION OF THE RECORDS FOR PRN 33561 SINCE THE FIND SPOTS OF PRN 34754 AND 34755 COULD NOT BE CONFIRMED. {1} POSSIBLY A DUPLICATION OF PRN 33561; HOWEVER THESE COULD BE SOME OF THE OTHER STONE AXES THAT THE SALESMAN WAS REPORTED AS HAVING.
