Full Description
AN IRON AGE SALTERN SITE AT THE LANDWARD LIMIT OF THE MARINE FLOODING. MOUND SURVIVES TO c1M HIGH AND HAS BEEN CUT BY THE FIELD BOUNDARY. DARK, BURNT SOIL AROUND EDGE OF MOUND. SOME BRIQUETAGE FRAGMENTS PRESENT. OTHER FINDS INCLUDE POTTERY, QUERN FRAGMENTS, ANIMAL BONE AND SOME BURNT STONE. THE BRIQUETAGE INCLUDES 13 COMPLETE SUPPORTS AND ONE BROKEN WEDGE. {1}
