Full Description
Romano-British saltern site, located on the edge of a high, silty natural watercourse, Morton. The site was investigated as part of the Fenland Project. Finds, including briquetage, were found on the lower, more clayey area, and there was extensive burning present in the ditch section. A small amount of burnt stone was also present. The site is visible as a cropmark in aerial photographs. {1}{2}{3}
