Full Description
Probable Iron Age salt work site, located northeast of Haconby. The site was first identified as cropmarks on aerial photographs and was further investigated by the Fenland Survey Project during a field walking survey. Surface finds included pottery, briquetage, burnt stone, animal bone (sheep, cattle, and deer), oyster shells, and limestone rubble. Some of the pottery was dated 250BC-150BC. {1}{2}
