Full Description
ROMANO BRITISH SETTLEMENT SITE INDICATED BY A DARK SOILMARK WHICH DISAPPEARS UNDER THE DYKE SPOIL AND REAPPEARS ON THE OTHERSIDE OF THE DYKE IN DUNSBY PARISH.FINDS INCLUDE ROMAN POTTERY, SOME ANIMAL BONE, FIRED CLAY, BURNT STONE, RUBBLE(?), QUERN FRAGMENT, SHELL (MUSSEL AND OYSTER) AND A WHETSTONE. THE FINDS EXTENDED WELL ONTO THE CLAYEY WEST-EAST RODDON. {1}{2}, AREA 0.25H, HTM 2.5M
