Full Description

Probable Roman settlement site, east of Dunsby. The site was identified as cropmarks in aerial photographs. The site was further investigated by the Fenland Project field walking survey. The survey recovered surface finds, including limestone rubble building material, roof tiles and flue tiles. Pottery finds included greyware, samian, Nene Valley ware, colour-coated ware, and possibly shelly ware. A quantity of burnt stone, bone, oyster shell, and flint were also found. {1}{2}{3}
