Full Description
Possible Saxon settlement site, Dowsby. The site was studied as part of the Fenland Project in the early 1990s, and underwent a magnetometry survey which revealed extensive settlement remains. The site has also been identified from soilmarks. Surface finds include decorated and undecorated early to middle Saxon pottery sherds, and some animal bone. {1}{2}
