Full Description

During a site visit to Temple Woods a partly ditched horseshoe shaped bank was recorded (TF 0622 2810). There is also a bank enclosing most of the wood. {1} An area of woodland (64 hectares of which classified as semi-natural and the remaining 44 hectares classified as plantation) included in the Nature Conservancy Council's 'Inventory of Ancient Woodland'. Ancient woodland status considered to be probable. {2}
