PRN 34073 SURFACE FINDS INDICATE THIS AREA CONTAINS A ROMANO BRITISH SETTLEMENT SITE. FINDS INCLUDE QUERN FRAGMENTS, BURNT CLAY, STONES, BRICK AND POTTERY (MOSTLY 2ND TO 4TH CENTURY). SOURCE OF INFORMATION QUOTED AS CITY AND COUNTY MUSEUM S.M.R. FILES BUT NO RECORD FOUND. {1} Romano-British settlement site, native type scatter of occupation debris sherds, bones and teeth, disc quern fragments, but no building stone- in west of fields. Ditch between fields has cut probable corn drying ovens. Pottery predominately late but of 2nd to 4th century date, mainly colour coated ware. {2}
