Full Description

A plain stone house with stone mullioned windows which is apparently 17th century in date. There are considerable 19th century extensions at the south and the building's proper name is now Manor Farm, GP.AO.62,54.1. {1}{2} The Manor House is recorded on the first and second edition Ordnance Survey maps. A park [PRN 39187] is recorded around the manor house on the first edition map only. {3}{4} Manor Farm, Little Ponton and Stroxton. Partially extant 17th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of F plan. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located on the site. {5}
