Description
LITTLE PONTON AND MAIN STREET SK 93 SW STROXTON Stroxton 4/112 Manor House 20.9.66 II Farmhouse. Early C17 with C18 alterations and additions. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, stone coped Collyweston slate roof, 2 half external stepped gable ashlar stacks with moulded tops. To rear a red brick rendered 2 storey wing. 2 storey, 5 bay front, having off-centre 4 panelled door in moulded stone surround, flanked by single 2 light mullioned windows with leaded lights, and single glazing bar sashes under timber lintels beyond. To first floor 4 two light mullioned windows. All mullions are cavetto moulded. Interior has large chamfered and stopped beams. In front room is a large square fireplace with rectangular ashlar surround. Listing NGR: SK9062131126
