Full Description

The villages of Wyville and Hungerton are listed in the Domesday Book. {1} By 1604-5 both church and inhabitants had been gone by 40 or 50 years. Only Hungerton Hall (PRN 34165) remains but the present house was built between 1782 and 1785. It was built for the Gregory De Ligne family. {2}{3}{4}{5} Humps and bumps in front of the hall may be remains of the village. {6}
