Full Description

A lost hamlet lying between Lavington (now Lenton) and Hanby is mentioned in the Domesday Book (Parva Lavintune). {4} Moated site and DMV noted from aerial photographs. {1} Saxo- Norman pottery, tiles and post med pot (Found only at moat). 29.4.1979, by Hilary Healey who identified Bourne D ware and shelly wares, some ridge and furrow and a pronounced spread of stone roughly circular which may have been the site of a windmill. The site had been extensively cleared since the APs were taken in 1977. Ms Healey also identifies the site as Little Lavington. {2}{3}
