Full Description

There is mention of two holy wells at Holywell (see MLI33600 for the known Holy Well). The site of the second well, which was dedicated to St Winifred, is not known, but there are springs at SK 9976 1591 and TF 0030 1650. Both of these sites are natural springs and have no name in current local usage, but may still be possibilities for the historically named well. {1}{2}
