Full Description
In the SE corner of the churchyard stands the old Grammar School, provided by Sir William Trollope in 1636. It is a fine example of early 17th century brick & stone construction. Now in use as a church hall. {1}
White's 1872 Trade Directory states that the school and associated almshouses (MLI34020) were funded by a rent-charge out of lands owned by Trollope in Weston. {2}
The building can be seen marked as a Grammar School on the 1904 OS map of Bourne. {3}
