4 SAXON CARVED FRAGMENTS REUSED IN THE OUTER EAST WALL OF THE SOUTH AISLE, SET AROUND A LATER WINDOW - POSSIBLY PARTS OF A SAXON CROSS WITH CABLE MOULDING. {1}{2} FOUR FRAGMENTS SEEMINGLY FROM FOUR SEPARATE PIECES. ALL ARE DECORATED WITH SIMPLE INTERLACE PATTERNS. {3}~ NEITHER PEVSNER NOR DAVIES {4} SEEM TO CONSIDER THE FRAGMENTS AS PARTS OF A CROSS - POSSIBLY FRAGMENTS OF GRAVE COVERS? ~
