PRN 32894 POSSIBLE ROMAN SETTLEMENT SITE. A CLUSTER OF SMALL DITCHED ENCLOSURES ARE SUGGESTED BY CROPMARKS ON AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS. SITE NOT VISITED. {1}{2}{3}{4} A SOILMARK SITE AT TF14423068 WAS IDENTIFIED DURING THE FENLAND SURVEY, WITH FINDS OF SAMIAN, GREYWARE, SHELL-GRITTED WARES, MORTARIA, COLOUR-COATED WARE, WHITE WARES, BONE AND SPARSE FIRED CLAY. 140 SHERDS IN TOTAL, WEIGHING 1570G. THE SITE WAS LOCATED CLOSE TO AN 'ISLAND' MARKING A BURIED RIDGE IN THE FEN. {5}
