Full Description

Coin of Constantine ploughed up in 1920s. {1} Romano-British site on hillside. {2} Further information suggests that the site extends down the hill to the south, although this material may be 'washed' down. The finder has recovered tesserae, tiles and pottery. A fragment of tegula was found by the field boundary in the centre of the site during Aug 1992. {3} A small quantity of residual Romano-British pottery was recovered during trial trenching.
