Full Description

Water-powered corn mill, to the east of Marston. Thought to date to about 1850. Of two storeys and built of red brick with pantile roofs. The mill entrance is to the west gable, with the wheelhouse located to the east. The wheelhouse has a wooden undershot wheel of c.3.5m in diameter complete with iron inlet controls. The mill building has its corn milling machinery intact with cast-iron gearing and wooden stone nuts to 2 pairs of grindstones (a third bottom-stone also remains). Crown wheel and drive shafting to sack hoist within roof.
