Full Description

St Vincent's church is mainly of early Decorated and Perpendicular style, and features a double nave. It was much restored in the 19th century. {1}{2}{3}{4} Parish church dating from the 13th century with alterations or additions in the 14th, 16th, 17th and 18th centuries and addition and restoration by Sir G.G. Scott in 1860. The church is constructed of coursed limestone and ironstone in a banded pattern with a slate roof. It has a central tower and a crocketed spire. The interior includes numerous monuments and a 17th century poor box, and there was formerly a Doom painting on the east wall of the nave.
