Full Description
Iron Age B pottery found in dark circles indicating hut sites (together with Roman 30123) from area stripped in preparation for bypass. Aerial photographs show nothing at this point, but circles and other marks are visible in the area.{1}
Remains of Iron Age vessels were recovered during topsoil stripping for the Grantham bypass in 1961. About 20m to the south, two small pits were recorded, containing blacker soil and bone fragments, possibly cremation remains.{4}
