Full Description

At the time of Domesday Book on the land of Robert Malet, there was 1 mill rendering 5/-. {1} The c.1880 Ordnance Survey map records a Windmill (Corn) at this location. However, it is uncertain if this is the location of the medieval mill. {2} Barrowby Mill was derelict in 1923 and had been demolished by 1951. [This document does not give the location of Barrowby mill, so it is uncertain if the mill on the Ordnance Survey map is the same]. {3}
