Full Description

The village cross at Harlaxton is medieval, restored. {1} A stone obelisk, on a moulded base. The socket stone appears to be about 16th to 17th century and the upper part of the column may be contemporary. The remainder is modern. There is a full description in the revised scheduling document 22652. {2}{3}{4} 14th century and early 19th century village cross, possibly resited. The base is 14th century whilst the obelisk is 19th century and was probably added by Gregory Gregory c. 1820-1840.
