Full Description

Denton is made up of 3 manors; the second Manor House has been published as Ivy House.{1} A 17th century house with later alterations. It is built of coursed ironstone rubble with ashlar dressings and has a plain tiled roof with stone coped gables. There is an original external doorway, and within the house a moulded stone fireplace surround set in early 17th century full height panelling. There is further 17th century panelling and other carved decorative features within the interior of the house.
