Full Description
A Roman site in the area of the new ironstone pit - apparently a lot of Roman finds have been made here. There is a complete flue tile at Lincoln Museum and much burnt daub. In the same place are pieces of roofing tile from here and a certain amount of Roman pot has been turned up. {1}{2}{3}{4}
The ironstone workings have been abandoned and the site returned to arable.
