Line of a Roman road from Baston Outgang. {1}{2}{3} Traces of a Roman road leading east along the line of the modern Baston Outgang road. It continues east at Deeping Fen Farm and is visible as a sparse band of gravel. The route represents the shortest course from the upland on to the silt of the major roddon in the general direction of Spalding. Other parallel ditches leave the road at right angles and form an integral part of the communication system.
