Full Description

Wide general scatter of RB domestic debris C2nd-4th pottery, querns, bones, shells over a raised silty area with indefinite patches of dark soil, seen at Whaplode in December 1951, after differences in crop growth noticed in 1950 by J Mossop. Ditch layout dissected by parallel, medieval or later drainage ditches, and individual sites were not distinguishable.{1}{2}{3}{4} Mr Mossop could not recall this site, which is at present under crop, and shows no surface indications of RB occupation.{1}
