Full Description

Romano-British settlement site (winter 1950-51). Romano-British flue tile found at site south of Aswick Grange - site noted by Mrs Hallam but not flue tile.{1}{2} At TF312138 a group of Romano-British domestic sites surveyed in February 1951, April 1952. An abundant scatter of second to third century pottery, but no sign of ditch layout visible on APs. Area under crop but shows heavy undulations. {3}{4}{5}{6} FINDS AT TF31341384 ARE POTTERY, BONE AND SHELL. {2}
