Full Description

A WATCHING BRIEF WAS CARRIED OUT DURING WORKS ON THE MOULTON CHAPEL TO WHAPLODE WATERMAINS. IN FIELD 8, ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH HOLLAND MAIN DRAIN, AND NEAR THE FRESHWATER DRAIN, BURNT CLAY FRAGMENTS AND CLINKER WERE IDENTIFIED, AND INTERPRETED AS A DUMP OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE PROBABLY REFUSE DEPOSITS FROM A SUB-RECTANGULAR ENCLOSURE IMMEDIATELY TO THE NORTH. {1}{2}
