ROMAN POTTERY WAS RECOVERED FROM PREDOMINANTLY SAXON SITES. THEY OCCUR WHERE THE SILT THINS OUT AND ROMAN SITES APPEAR TO BE JUST UNDER THE SURFACE. {1}
