Full Description
A SCATTER OF POTTERY FOUND BETWEEN THIS AREA (RECENTLY LEVELLED) AND THE ROAD TO THE NORTHEAST. MEDIEVAL AND POST MEDIEVAL WARES. THIS WAS A HIGH RIDGE POSSIBLY A CONTINUATION OF A LINE OF SALTERN MOUNDS TO THE SOUTH. SOME TYPICAL SALTERN SLAG WAS FOUND BUT NO OTHER SATISFACTORY EVIDENCE. {1} HILARY HEALEY PROVIDED A MORE PRECISE LOCATION: ACTUALLY IN DONINGTON PARISH. {2}~
