Full Description

Probable Roman settlement. Group of small, ditched enclosures and double- ditched causeway, seen on APs. Site not visited. Area under crop. Slight surface 'rises' are visible but neither enclosures nor causeway could be traced. Farm workers know of no finds of interest from this area, none were made during perambulation.{1} THIS SITE WAS PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED. IT FORMS PART OF A LARGE COMPLEX OF ROMAN SETTLEMENT AND FIELD SYSTEM CROPMARKS (20057). {3}{4}
