Full Description

One of seven boundary stones set up about 1389 to mark the extent of Crowland Abbey estate, St Guthlac's Cross stands in a garden at Brotherhouse Toll Bar. About 3 feet 4 inches remains of the single stone. It bears an inscription probably recut in the 18th century. Scheduled. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5} Road improvements have resulted in the cross being moved to TF26021494 and it now stands on a modern plinth.{1}
