Full Description

A three bay, type 23, concrete, anti-aircraft pillbox which faces east. Formed part of the defences of the Boston Examination Battery (see MLI13376). The structure comprises two end bays, each with three embrasures, linked by a central raised platform for the anti-aircraft gun. The ceiling still retains some of its wooden shuttering. {1}{2}{3}{4} A photograph of the pillbox was taken in July 2007, during site visits conducted for the Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey. {5}
