Full Description

A single redeposited sherd of early post-medieval pottery was found in this location in October 2018, during archaeological monitoring of the construction of new dwellings on land to the east of Corrie Cottage, Gainsborough Road, Middle Rasen. The sherd was recovered from topsoil deposits, and was thought to come from a large Glazed Red Earthenware jug or pipkin of late 16th to 17th century date. {1}{2}
