Full Description

A group of undated pits and ditches identified on land at 27 Edenham Road, Hanthorpe, Morton, during a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording. One of the pits contained a high quantity of large charcoal pieces and limestone rubble, possibly representing a dump of demolition material. A single sherd of reduced Bourne 'D' ware pottery was recovered from the fill of one of the pits, but no other dateable finds were encountered. {1}{2}
