Full Description
During a programme of trial trenching in 2014-15, a possible Medieval buried topsoil and pit were encountered. These were sealed by alluvial silts suggetive of regular flooding, which in turn was overlain by a sequence of post-Medieval deposits (see MLI127767). A small quantity of Medieval pottery was recovered from both the pit and the alluvial layer. {1}{2}
