Full Description

During a programme of trial trenching in 2009, post-Medieval features associated with a demolished structure were encountered on land to the northeast of Church Road, Old Leake. This is probably the same structure depicted on early Ordnance Survey maps of Old Leake. A fragment of 17th century pipe stem, a partial 'Frozen Charlotte' doll and a bone button were among the finds recovered from these deposits. {1}{2}
