Full Description

Archaeological trial trenching of a residential development recorded extensive ditches, gullies, post holes and pits. Due to flooding on the site the features were surveyed but could not be excavated. It was suggested by the excavators that the features may relate to similar features identified immediately adjacent to the east (MLI127638), and be of a similar nature. The archaeological horizon was around 1m below the current ground level with significant flood deposits noted. {1}[2]
