Full Description

During a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording between May 2012 and April 2013, two ditches of probable Roman date were encountered on land northwest of High Street, Bassingham. Two sherds of Roman pottery were also recovered from the topsoil during the investigation, including a sherd of Nene Valley mortarium. {1}{2}
