Full Description

Two Nissen huts are located in this field south of Fillingham Lane, to the west of Carisbrooke Farm. Both huts are made of corrugated metal sheeting, with each measuring roughly 11m long. The westernmost hut has been modified to add two windows to its northern side. The huts likely date from the Second World War, and were probably originally sited on one of the nearby former RAF airfields, being moved to their current location following the closure of the airfields after the war. The huts appear to be in relatively sound condition and are likely for storage or as livestock shelters. {1}
