A small pit of Saxo-Norman date was encountered on land at the former Ship Inn, 21 Bridge Street, Saxilby, during a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording in 2014. A single sherd of Derby-type ware was recovered from the fill of this feature. {1}{2}
