Full Description
A group of features of Roman date encountered on land to the west of Peterborough Road, Langtoft, during an archaeological strip, map and record in December 1998-January 1999. Two large gravel extraction pits and a number of parallel northwest-southeast aligned ditches were encountered. It was suggested that the ditches, close-set and parallel, may represent the remains of a vineyard. {1}{2}
