Full Description

During a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording in June 2014, the remains of a possible wall of grey-green sandstone were encountered to the south of St Andrew's Church, South Thoresby. The wall was oriented northeast to southwest, with a worked face on the southeast side. It is unclear whether this possible structure relates to either the current church or the demolished Medieval church, as it does not share an alignment with either. {1}{2}
