Full Description

The current Crossroads Garage at Thornton Road, South Kelsey, originally dates to the years following the First World War, likely around 1920. The building was used from its construction to 1934 as a bus services and haulage yard, changing to lorry haulage from 1934 until the 1970s at which point it became a commercial garage. The building does have some timber, but is predominently metal and corrugated sheet metal. A building recording undertaken in September 2020 found possible examples of military surplus fittings, including a large fixed door. {1}{2}
