Full Description

Several large, deep intercutting pits were identified during excavations at The Paddock, Keddington. They were interpreted as possible extraction pits to harvest the underlying clay in the area, and seem to have been deliberately backfilled in the 19th century. The deposits contained a mix of material, mostly 15th to 18th century pottery {1}{2}
