Description
A scheme of monitoring during the excavation of footings for a replacement dwelling at The Paddocks was undertaken by Witham Archaeology intermittently between March 2017 and April 2018. Evidence for possible clay extraxtion was recorded, with several large pits backfilled by the 19th century. 20th century services and the remains of building footings were also encountered. {1}{2}
